Has the bubble burst?

Bluemoon isn't very representative of City fans now.
Different age demographic

Not too sure about that ..... we seem to have a fair amount, if not a majority, of older/ageing posters on this forum .... and it's seems to be that way in the ground too .... but these are the fans who have generally stood 'thick and thin' by the club for decades and know their stuff.

There appears to be a lack of teenage, or 20-30 age range support for the Club now, and they're probably the fans who would enjoy singing, and increase our vocal support the most ..... much of our support now seems to be either really young, or ageing.

It was extremely difficult for new fans to get interested in the club during the Fergie years at Old Trafford, because the other lot were swaying all the kids into supporting them by the trophies they winning, whilst we basically offered those fans nothing to counteract that, and, in my opinion, its now left a generation gap in Citys support ........ Stuart Pearces brand of football probably killed off a fair bit of our support too, when watching matches was like taking a stroll through the Halls of sheer boredom, and seeing a City goal was almost as rare as stumbling across a penny black!!

There were youtubers sucking the teams dick that very day, look it up.

They even invited one of the cunts to the balon d'or to wrap his legs around Rodri.
Really can’t be bothered looking up something like that. All I remember is celebrating madly with all the fans.

I think the negativity at times towards the team or a poor display is separate from wider unhappiness with the club on policies such as ticket prices and access to tickets.

I think there’s a real disconnect and that’s been brewing for years now. The success is becoming irrelevant

My feelings on the club and the team are completely separate from one another. On the club I have felt for a number of years that they are cnunts and treat fans with contempt, it does leave me wondering if we really are holier than thou when it comes to the financial charges.
On the manager/team, never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined we would have had the success we have had since Pep arrived-when the Sheikh took over I dreamed big but not this big. But football goes in cycles and we've dropped off, this is to be expected and I accept this with the hope that at some point we will be back to something like our best.

I’m not sure I agree. I think it has changed, but there is a large number of fans on here that attend games regularly. It’s places like Twitter that don’t represent us at all

It's pretty representative, the demographic of match going fans is getting older. And you're spot on about Twitter and Instagram although those are the areas the club openly court.

Don't bother looking it up then, and fucking good for you.

:)
Ta. I’m really not as disillusioned with the club; the players; the management as you it seems. But that’s my right if it doesn’t rile you too much.

I’m more interested in what we’ve achieved & the spirit of the players - and tonight’s game.

If you like the distance between fans and players then good for you, for me it's about being a part of something.

People who generate their own atmosphere and experience bubble make me so jealous.

I think many fans have lost their understanding of the cyclical nature of the game.
We all want to stay as a winning machine, but everybody wants to become that, and everyone in the PL has money.
If we buy young players, many don't want them in the team unless they do the business immediately.
If we sell young players and they become good elsewhere, we beat the board with it.
If we buy 'finished articles' and they do not deliver immediately, they are a waste of money.
It does feel like a lot of entitlement, and a lot of impatience.
No team has ever had an automatic right to trophies.

I have the belief that most City fans have an understanding of where we are right now.
We have made some mistakes, as every business does, but we have achieve incredible things.
Even now, in a season of transition, we are near the top of the table. If you read some threads here, it really feels as if we are the bottom of the pile. That is the intensity of being a fan, I suppose.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I respect it when that opinion is polemic to mine.
What I really dislike is that many posters write as though they are speaking for the majority of fans, have an opinion fine
But they shouldn't talk for other people.

I know one thing if I felt like some on here I wouldn't be wasting my time spending money on travel and tickets,
I would find another hobby get some pleasure from.
One yesterday wanted the owner out of the club. Axel something.
People should learn from the decisions other clubs make that have dire consequences.

Or people are moaning because they want things to change?

The last time we won the league I felt distanced by the club, it felt like the club celebrated with celebrities who have nothing to do with the club than with actual City fans.

They either don't understand or don't care that the average fan lives vicariously through the exploits of those on the pitch, it's a bit off putting when those "Hero's" whizz off straight to Instagram or a club sponsored media controlled wankathon instead of bringing the fans in from the cold.

Did you want them to come round to your living room?
