Has the bubble burst?

This. I read on here all the shit on the match day thread, we're shit, pep didn't know what he's doing, all our players are shite etc etc..

But listening to the fans in the ground cheering our boys on, singing the gaurdiola song, even when playing shit... Tells me we're a load of moaners on here protected by the Internet.

That's because all the older fans go to the match to support the team, and the only people on the matchday thread are the younger Twitter and Instagram cunts who have jerky knees ....

Society is polarised now due to social media. Either everything is wrong or everything is fine. There is nothing in the middle. Football is no different but the answer, if there is one, is usually towards the middle…where both extremes say you are wrong.

Most things at City have improved a lot since the takeover. Some (like ticketing) has got worse.

When it comes to the team itself we aren’t spoiled but we have seen the best and tend to compare the current situation by that yardstick. A victim of our own success.

Think the bubble depends on the person.

It's nearly burst for me as a match going fan.

It's hard to say but I havent enjoyed going for sometime now. It's not so much the cost, I'm lucky I can afford to pay for my lad and me.
For me its the 12hr round trip that seems to be getting longer, constant road closures, lane closures, motorway down to 40mph, the ackes and pains of being in the car.
Then at the ground, it doesn't feel like i belong, half n half scarfs, bloody phones. Sitting on my own.
Then the boring football defence against attack, much prefer 3-2 game regardless who wins.
The atmosphere is poor.

So for me personally I dont plan going this season, things might change, we might fancy a game and we might get tickets sat together. At the moment I dont see us going

I think it all just boils down to some poor recruitment and Arsenal deliberately injuring our Balon D’Or winner. It also stems from failing to do enough to get either Bellingham or Declan Rice no matter what the cost.

We’ve spent enough but not on the right quality (apart from Haaland and Donnarumma). We have to be more aggressive and ambitious, especially when bidding for the very top.

If we sign better players then all the other issues vanish or become acceptable.

Too many players have lost form (Dias, Marmoush) or are too old (Bernardo) or just not good enough (Savinho, Bobb, Nunes, Phillips). Others may come good, but we’re suffering while we wait to find out (Reijnders, Khusanov).

Get back to the times when we could take the likes of Nasri from Arsenal, Walker from spurs and Sterling from Liverpool, plus the level of Yaya, Fern, Kuhn, Vinny, David Silva then we’d be great again and no-one would moan.

Getting Rodri back fully fit, and signing Semenyo, Guehi and Livramento would definitely lift all at the club including us fans.

Now he was a proper owner. Didn't need no Spanish. He was an owner with a vision, gradually reducing the size of the stadium, added wonderful little open top stands for the needy. Arranged for queues as long as the eye could see.
Made sure there were no cup runs to save the fans some cash, communicated on a daily basis, oh the good old days.

Personally im happy if we win and down when we lose (in the middle with a draw), not fussed with everything else that goes on apart from the team on the pitch. It's just a game over 90 mins that im totally immersed in and the build up to the next. I don't let things bother me that I can't do anything about and will always be a blue till I die.

On the pitch this forums just bipolar as fuck. Beat Fulham convincingly and we'll be about to embark on a 20 game winning streak, rein in Arsenal, Peps staying for another decade, all our players are mint. Rico and Savinho are great young talents etc etc

The off pitch stuff is different and while we were winning everything it was drowned out it was always there and the bad feeling will keep building so long as cunts like Soriano are making the decisions at the club. We're at a point where we need to make a real stand or we'll end up like United and Liverpool where our stadium is just Disney land for tourists and our core support is priced out. We may already be too late.

Well they did say it was a 20 year project when they bought us,
Maybe we're in the final leg before we get sold...or maybe not.
