Has the last month been the best in your life??

Correct. We treat football as so much more than a game. And I'm as guilty as anyone in that regard; watching that game on saturday night was pure torture. But it really is only a game. Shankly was wrong all those years ago; it isn't more important than life or death. Okay; taking my serious hat off now; yeah, I've had worse months following this club.

:-D
Arrigo Sacchi said it better.....

"Football is the most important of the least important things in life."

Amazing month for me. Got suspended from work on full pay, went for a new job interview, was offered the job the next day, better pay, world wide travel. And ....we win the treble. Only downside was my Dad sadly died in Nov 2018, so never got to see us lift the champions league. I'm sure wherever he is, he would definitely be giving those rag twunts the V's at the same time as telling them "now shut the fuck up" .

Started new job on Monday, now have a week's holiday in the canaries from tomorrow, that just so happens to be our 19th wedding anniversary .

CTID.

Up there with 2012.. found out we were pregnant with my first born the day after Arsenal looked like they had ended our dream…baby news was presented minutes after they beat us.. not the reaction the Mrs was looking for! But we clawed it back and had the Sergio moment within a month. But yeah… this rivals that :)

Certainly the ECL final was the most anxious I'd felt about a game in a long while (absolutely sick with nerves in the 24 hours before kick off), but in terms of that blistering adrenalin surge you get with huge goals in huge games, Rodri's, whilst a top 10 jobber for sure, was still well behind both the Aguero (2012) and Dickov (1999) moments for me. The Dickov goal I think is destined to be forever my peak moment in football, not in terms of what was actually achieved obviously, but just for the sheer unadulterated joy of the moment. I fell over those crappy old Wembley bench seats and got up again about 5 times in the tumult, screaming my head off. Simpler times mate
Micro seconds before the Dickov strike, many roads in different directions lay before us on the horizon. Dickov scores and the road it took us down led us to where we are now.

He is a wise man.
Made Italian football what it was when it was amazing.... and who do we have from our country putting out famous quotes?..... A dipper manager talking rubbish, suggesting football is more important than anything else.

It reminds me of my late grandfather once saying "Food is all there is to live for", which caused my uncle to say to him "You sad man!".

As if your children are less important.

Has for me. Since that Real Madrid game it has just been incredible. The collective joy on the parade last night a thing of beauty.

In terms of football undoubtedly - two FA Cup Finals in a week - going to both and ending up losing was bad but going to the 3rd tier was soul destroying so yeah treble winners is immense.

But married for for nearly 28 years - I try not to count the first one lol - means my wedding day meant a lot to me - and 2 kids being born was two unforgettable days - ironically my daughter was born on the day we won at Stoke but were relegated so that may be an evens day lol

Footballing wise it has been off the radar, the Aguero moment is still my favourite moment though, was able to share that with my wife.

I have young family so feeling a little guilty about trips away three weekends in a row and eternally thankful my wife enables my habit.

I feel I need a wee break from football now to spend time with kids, let my body recover and give my bank account some reprieve.

Can’t believe the fixtures came out yesterday and I’ve already decided that I won’t be doing Burnley away, Charity shield, Super Cup or Club World Cup.
