I can remember the last heavy snow in Urmston.

It was either late 1967 or early 1968.

Miss Greenwood let us go on to the school field to build snowmen.

Right, this is getting silly now, the other week we had a 'weather bomb' now apparently we are expecting 'thunder snow', does everything nowadays have to have a stupid name

Lol know what you mean but someone explained it to me once it's because manchester is in a dip surrounded on the whole by hills and if it's too cold the clouds don't come over the hills they just dump all the snow on the hills. You can usually tell when we are going to get snow the grey sky has a very feint kinda yellowish tinge

Something like that anyway
