Dare I suggest this could be a blueprint for a breakway Elite league if UEFA and FIFA get too much beyond themselves.
Perhaps a test of their resolve.

Well it itself is based heavily around the standard UEFA/FIFA "group stages then knockout" style, so the blueprint would surely loop back right around to FIFA themselves, no? The only ground-breaking thing about this competition is the age of the players. Even the idea of the entries initially being invite-only is how many European competitions (not all of them UEFA-sanctioned) started and I'm pretty sure that an invite-only breakaway CL/World Cup would go down like a house on fire to everyone who isn't invited. Closed-shop major tournaments aren't cool.
