Have City bought any real bargains?

Nobody has addressed my points yet. City are a business and have to meet financial regulations. Nobody got rich by giving all their money away. We’ve grossly overspent on crap for years and never seem to make anything back.

The Sancho argument fired back was tragic. He’s one of the hottest players in Europe and could command a transfer fee of over £100,000,000 this summer. Imagine the income and the players that could attract.
He was 17 and he chose to leave,i don't know what that has to do with not selling our best players

He chose to leave, we couldn't keep him despite numerous efforts. What's the weather like in your planet?

of course it's mandatory that Kompany and Zabaleta are mentioned (utter bargains), but looking back to the 90s, a decade of much dross;

Andy Morrison - a key player for that division, you need a shithouse nutcase to take that league by the balls. ~£80k
Shaun Goater - bought as City were doomed for the 3rd tier, forged in the fires of Division 2, 80 or 90 goals for City. ~£360k
Weaver - bit of a legend and a snip at ~£200k

at the beginning of the 2000s, i thought Distin gave us 5 very good season for £5m

103 goals!

He is living in fantasy world. No one buys unwanted players on high wages for big fees. This is the type of player we sell.

Also you cant force player to sign contract, like Sancho. .

And Martin Jol thought we were mad to pay that much
Mark Hughes bought both these players - obviously Martin Jol was a far superior manager to Hughes - and let’s face it Hughes was nothing special - but he did make some good signings for little cash - Tevez another example

Danny Allsopp - didn't we buy him for £10k and sold him for a £100k, which is one of the better mark ups we have ever achieved. He was shit though.

I wonder if Cook and Marwood were those that identified these players.

This is spot on - nobody wants to hold Soriano, Txiki or Pep accountable for their unprecedented spending, yet relatively moderate success. 2 titles in 4 years and no Champions League progress with a £1b squad was hardly worth the 3 year wait for Guardiola, or given the owners value for their investment.
198 pts and the domestic treble, couple of cups and the fa cup, they need sacking

Sniff
