8 more games to get to a final with the run in looming....
Cant see this one being taken too seriously and I fully expect the announcer to be reading out the name of Johnson, De Jong, Zabaleta and Kolorov, Savic and Pantillion.
Think Porto may be too strong over 2 legs.
Wasnt bothered about this one as much. Last night was the missed opportunity

I want to win this.
If Mancini treats this as yet another distraction i will be annoyed and gutted.Our strongest available team should be used.

I'm sorry but if he won't put out a full strength side in a Semi-Final with no game for another six days, there is not a cat in hell's chance that we will field anything like a strongest team for nine Thursday night matches in the Losers Cup!

I would like to win the Europa but its a shed load of games to get to the final. The final is on the 9th of may and how does anybody know if the last 2 or so games might be the deciders of the PL?
Don't you think we should just focus on the league and give the oportunity to our youth to have a fantastic experience playing some of Europes best? If anything is going to mess up the team now it will be that competition, unless we have any bad injuries of course!
We have a good few games coming up and i am hoping we can stretch out our lead massivley if we can.. we need to be 6 to 10 points clear going into april/may time to be in a comfortable position to win the title IMO.
Like it or not, we dropped a bollock not winning the Carling Cup but amazing things happen in football. Mancini will almost be forced into winning the Europa now.

good post. the europa league couldn't have come at a worst time. My suspicion is Mancini will treat the europa like he did the cc. We'll be out against Porto and then he will have just one thing to focus on.
