Have we done enough in the transfer market?

It's going to take a few to rebuild, this is just for starters. I just wished we'd signed players for now in this window, the two defenders are for the future not ready for playing this season. Marmoush and Gonzalez will be fine signings

Sums it up in my opinion. Really needed at least one top fullback ideally, rather two very young centre backs.
 
The problem is, we should have been active in the summer, but for whatever reason we weren't.

So we all know where we are now and why we've been forced into the January transfer market due to the circumstances we find ourselves in.

The January window is very difficult to do business in, as the buying clubs are normally in a pickle and forced to buy, therefore they can be held to ranson by the selling clubs.

So the business we've done is overall very good, no right back but he was injured and out until March and I think we'll return to that in the summer.

Overall to get 4 players in which plugs some gaps in the squad is good. Obviously none of us know how good the new players we've bought are, but Omar seems to be an exciting player, but they will take time to settle.

The Summer transfer window is going to be crucial.

I'm confident the new signings will improve our form and I think we'll get into the top 4. However I'm not so sure we'll get passed Real over two legs, but fingers crossed on that one.

As a side note, how sweet would it be to beat the Tarquins in the FA Cup and knock them out, as they are nailed on to finish 2nd to Dipperpool in the league.

I'm upbeat with the new guys and hopefully they will give an uplift and filip to the squad, which will stand us in good stead moving forward. CTID
 
Since Rodri in 2019 we have purchased 3 midfielders, Phillips, Nunes and Kovacic.(3 in nearly 6 years) .at least two of those signings have been very underwhelming….in the most vital position for a Pep team….it’s no wonder we are struggling for fitness, physicality and energy, especially in the last 60 minutes of a match…..I hope we are going to bring in at least two more quality midfielders, especially given Peps reluctance to supplement the position with youth.

Pep said he may change his mind about the size of the squad with all the games we have to play, We need to sort out the full-back roles and maybe a new keeper for Scott Carson, We need to sort out Ederson's future and see if he wants to stay or leave.

Pep's future plans may see him stay longer than the 2 extra seasons and how could you walk away from what we watched yesterday

It won’t be a small squad. To start with , not even thinking about any keepers.we need to lose 5 before we can buy 1 .Phillips, Walker, Nunes, will be 3 of them, then probably 2 of KDB, Gundogan, Kovacic.
That will allow us to bring in a full back maybe Cambiaso.Then we are full again and it would need to be one out one in.Can’t see much more than 1 more outfield player going after those 5 ,keepers apart,so it won’t be a small squad next season.

So having 8 defenders is going to work ?? Ake Stones could move on because injuries, Also KDB SIlva Gundogan Kovacic Nunes could all leave, Philips Walker has already Gone ?

We need balance and not top-heavy with defenders, 4 center-backs is enough. we need Full backs and a Keeper
Ederson future is unknown and he was leaving last summer ? so we need to sort it out and if we are going to keep him and give him a new contract or let him leave,

Pep 100% will have a bigger squad to work with in the future and 3 or 4 will be added to the 17 or so he likes to work with,
