Can't think of any time we have had so many tough draws in the cups.
Apart from Brum who are the current holders we have had all premier legue teams in the league cup.
The group of death in the champs league
The scum in the 1st round of FA cup
and now the current holders of the europa cup.

Why can't we get an easy Draw like Halifax? ho hold on a minute repressed memory coming back into my head from the dark ages

We're now the team to beat. No mater who we play, when we play them or where we play them, every game is a cup final at the moment. Comes with the territory.

We get all prem league teams in league cup. united get Aldershot and Crystal Palace.
We get the group of death and they get probably the easiest group in the history of CL
We have to play away after all 6 gruelling CL games
We draw the holders of the cup (first name out, what are the odds?:D)
We have to switch our game to suit united which may involve sacrificing home advantage

It does seem an unfortunate series of coincidences to be fair. Were not getting the luck of the draw are we?

didn't mean for it to be a conspiracy theory thread. It was a genuine question, just looked up the run for the 76 league cup. Which had several tuff games against norwich, forest, boro, mansfield and game against easier side think they were called fc rags or something
