yes we do need a commanding centre back mancini knows this and if we dont get luiz he will go for somebody else maybe chiellini or subotic wudnt be suprised if we dont bid for a right back maicon or vanderweil .I think kompany may play defensive midfield allowing yaya to boss the midfield.And boatang to play centre back with luiz .It all depends on if mancini rates kolo at centre back if he does boateng to be right back.Then we are ready for spurs happy days.

Not bothered about Milner at £30 million now. I genuinely think Michael Johnson will be better, if he gets fit again, and I think we've enough in midfield to wait till January to decide. We would only need Milner if Mancini decided to play Yaya at centre half.

I'd also replace anyone else that left over the age of 21 outside of the above 5 players ie if Robinho were sold I'd buy another striker.

Right now we look like a bunch of very capable carpet bombers. We're still missing the midfielder capable of the surgical strike.

I'd be happy with Balotelli and Milner (or another midfield with a bit of vision, Arteta for example). I wouldn't be against signing another defender too, a right back or centre back, depending on where Mancini see's Boateng playing.

If we bring in Balotelli and Milner, I wouldn't be too upset to lose the following: Gonzales, Vidal, Logan, Etuhu, Caicedo, Jo, Santa Cruz & Onuoha. Which by my calculations would leave us with 25 over 21s. If we were to bring in another player as well, perhaps we could leave Michael Johnson out of the squad until January, or if he's still not happy in Manchester get rid of Robinho.

What's the fulham center half called, the big lad. He's done a good job in the prem but then again hughes is their manager now so we probably couldn't afford him.

good question, luiz, of course, maicon would allow boatang to stay central but that would mean kolo missing out, not good for the captain:).

i'd go
luiz boatang lescott kolorov. or switch luiz and boatang if we prefer.
