We now have 8 teams competing for four slots. Chaotic transfer business by the likes of Chelsea, top heavy squads such as PSG who have spunked everything on three luxury players and have lesser players in midfield and veterans in defence.

Yep, some players had abilities that meant they could play at the top level without having to put the right discipline and effort in. LeTissier is the classic example. Others lacked ability and played at the top due to pure effort and discipline, Dickov was one.The best players nowadays work harder than ever.
