Have we reached the point where players don't care?

I think there is generally more disconnection between players and fans.....and clubs....

However there are some players who clearly do still care....Kompany for example took us to heart and the other obvious one for obvious reasons is Foden...I thnk David Silva did as well, whereas Yaya as good as he was I dont think he ever did and even less now. Never been able to work out KDB and how he feels for the club but I think Ferna loved us.....

Pretty sure its the same at most clubs..there will be players who for one reason or another do connect and some who dont.

Pep seems to really have taken us to heart - I think the fact that the media and top brass in football have been trying to bury us while (and before) he has been here has only cemented that relationship, plus how he has been treated by the likes of HRH, Khaldoon and the rest of the club and fans...

Same thing as I said. You don't get a runners up medal in the Premier League and prize money is marginally different between 2nd and 3rd.

When I started reading books written by ex footballers in the 80s I was amazed to read them saying things like I didn't fancy it that day.
I just assumed they all gave 100% in every single game.
If only to avoid grief from the fans.

Books written by players on about 5% of what money they're on now who lived for bonus money and probably regularly went out boozing the night before games
