Have you ever met any really famous Rock/Pop stars?

In 2002 I saw Robbie Williams in Calgary on the high street. Interrupted his phone conversation to ask for his autograph. He was very friendly. Got chatting about football. He'd just played against city for port vale in a friendly, and was explaining how he got a penalty, missed, then got to take it again to appease the crowd (more Robbie fans than port vale fans in the crowd). We honestly talked for about 5 mins. He was there filming with Darryl Hannah. Anyway, found out the next day he signed an 80m recording contract that same day. Very down to earth. He signed my man city fixture card...and for some strange reason put 'love Robbie' which was a bit gay!?!

Ry Cooder outside the Apollo.About a dozen of us waiting for him,he sent a gofer to the Apsley Cottage for beer all round, and chatted away for 20 minutes or so.Lovely bloke.
Also collided with Jimi Hendrix as he was coming out of a music shop on Oxford Road,1967.He was on at the Odeon that night

Two of the finest in one post. I was listening to Ry Cooder live on the OGWT that someone put up recently if you're interested ...

and had an afternoon with Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungen.

Were they as obnoxious as they're portrayed as?

Ginger Spice at a Prince's Trust event at Villa Park 2002. Absolute twat.
From start to finish embarrassed herself and others. You'd have thought the whole event was about her rather than an awards evening for young people who had achieved great things.

I was signing people in and giving them their table number. She swanned right in an took umbridge when I called her back, telling me ''I don't need to sign in''. So I asked her if she knew what table she was sat at and the reply was ''the one Prince Charles is on.'' (which is another story I wont go in to detail about....) and I added ''and you know which table that is then?''
Finally she agreed to endure what everyone else had to go through and wait 15 seconds to have your name ticked off and given your table number.
That was just the start........

Plenty of other celebs there, like Dion Dublin, Sophie who reads the news on BBC in the morning (or who did then), possibly Wio (he was there the year before at the Dome) and loads more I have forgotten about, all behaved themselves and represented themselves splendidly. Just that Ginger trollop who was stuck up for own rectrum
