There are a few I share similar opinions with. I read a response, check who wrote it, and see a familiar name before adding a like. And I see their names liking my posts on the refereeing threads, VAR threads etc.

I've met a few former football teammates on here, from 35 to 40 years ago.

I feel a sense of community with my fellow runners and book readers in these threads. I've taken a lot of advice and recommendations from my friends in there.

But I've never knowingly met anyone from here yet. I've not made any enemies, and I've never had a ban. I've only been called a rag once, but that was the obligatory one after stupidly saying I had not been called out as a rag at that point.

Used to make some decent friendships via the regular Bluemoon piss-ups we had years ago, it’s a shame they never happen as often nowadays.
