Hay fever

Everyone reacts differently to various meds, but for me any containing Loratadine works well. And Boots own eye drops quell the itching....

Glad I don't get it as bad as when I was in teens/early twenties any longer. Eyes so swollen and sore, just couldn't go out. Awful.

If you have access to a steam room, use it, Vaseline up your nostrils help in a non-sexual way, put your head over a hot bowl of water with menthol and the 'Tea towel' method :)
Good luck sufferers.

Used to use Cetirizine, but it caused thickening of mucus in the sinuses and so I always ended-up with sinusitis. Now I'm drug-free, using a neti pot twice a day (look it up!). Use beeswax or Vaseline around your nostrils in the morning and wash your face with clean cold water as soon as you feel any irritation (not always practical of course).

take an antihistamine at night so you are covered during the next day.use wrap around sunglasses.keep your windows closed at home and in the car and dont blast air in through the vents as even those with a filter will let some pollen in.Use a nasal spray as well if you have a runny nose.wash your hands and face and change your clothes when you get home as you will have pollen on your clothes,if none of that helps then see your GP for something stronger
dont cut the grass

Had it all day today. Sneezing, sore throat and itchy eyes. Its bloody horrible

Anyone else suffer from it?

Yes mate but gladly mines well under control, Fexofenadine 180mg prescription only.

Me too only when I knew they did these bad boys I got them and 60 per prescription aswell which wasn't easy getting!!!

Not had it too bad so far this year, the itchy eyes and sneezing I can handle.. what really gets me is the way it makes my whole body feel, it's like I've gone 10 rounds with Tyson, aching joints, no energy what so ever, I can barely walk down the street without stumbling along and wanting to just collapse in a heap!

I get it pretty severely, starting up again now.
They reckon it's going to be a terrible summer for sufferers as normally at different stages of the year from spring, different types of pollen are released at different times but because of the slow, cold start to spring, most of the pollen types are being released at the same time. Bugger.
