He chose us over United..........

Sorry Millwall, but when these ex-rag twats are all over the papers and airwaves like maggots feeding on a festering corpse, then we can enjoy ourselves a bit at their expense, surely?
After all, I bet we won't see any 'Nasri snubs U*****' headlines in the next couple of days.
As for the shivering ticket tout twatting on about players signing for the rags for their 'history', well give me strength.
Who's their scouting and transfer negotiating team? Simon Schama and Professor David Starkey?

Speaking of the rags:

@MrTopsyTurvy

There is spending and there is spending but this is getting silly now.

It's distorting the market so much and to be fair it's basically meaning that tickets to go and see games are just so expensive.

And anyway what happened to City's youth policy and bringing through young players?

Im guessing the level of spending becomes unacceptable at the point were united cant compete, but is absolutely fine up to and including that level yes?

We still have Richards and Hart. Onuha is about to shipped out but he came through our ranks. Boyota too is an academy kid.

Also on the site of the manchester casino complex they are building a new 7 pitch footballing academy with a 15k seater stadium for youth team games. The academy will support 400 students and a bridge will be built from the academy to the etihad stadium.

The guys that own city these days are not messing around, they want to turn us into Barcelona. (it would probably have been cheaper to buy barcelona but im glad they didnt)

Makes sense to me...

That is a quality reply.

they did
jones, young and de Gea

Add Smalling and cleverly to that, they bought them all! But any empty head rag would think they have come through the youth system.

The cost of Rag's 11 v WBA and City's 11 v Swansea was 5m apart. But they don't spend money and have all come through the youth.

There was no choice (if it is Nasri you're on about). Yeah Chelsea and United may have had a look at him, maybe even enquired, but City were the only team serious about signing him.

I heard it was more a case of Arsene saying, "Nasri to Manyoo? Over my dead body."

I can't talk about anything. He's a nice player, a good player but I'll leave all that, the negotiations, to the powers that be here and, if he's a good player and wants to come and play for us, he'll have to realise there is something you have to remember here. That's the history of the club. I think if he knows Manchester United are coming for him, he won't worry about anything else.

Bobby Charlton talking about Samir Nasri on 11th July 2011.

We're not a fucking joke any more Bobby are we?

And the same goes for you Lou Macari, you utter ****.

the deluded senile slap headed ticket tout lives in a world of his own. well, him & the fabled 299,999,999 others.

Had a rag mate in work who flatly told me Cleverley is a better player than Nasri... from 2 games in the prem playing for united he's the going to be better than Scholes and has already "app" done more than Nasri did for Arsenal in three years...

He's delusional, even had other rags saying he's on about utter drivel but with majority of em you can't even have a decent footie debate as it always turns into the "history"/better players/stadium drivel...

Ahh well sure he'll see Nasri tear the league a new one this season alongside Silva and co!

Thing is though Bald Bob...... he fucking does not want to play for your shower of shit. He doesn`t feel like sharing a midfield with Tom fucking Cleverly or closing his eyes every time the ball goes anywhere near De Gash. Comprende? Bald ****.
SAMIR NASRI CHAMPION NAH NANAH NANAH NA NA!

Some people will know the rest ;-P

yoonited did bid for nasri! the offer was dismissed out of hand. Fergie i am told he is "furious" to have been snubbed!

i think the days of yoonited buying stellar signings, established world class players have gone! their work in this transfer window is all it will be in the future! buy young, average players and sell after a few years for profit!

they want wesley to take a 40% wage cut just to play at sold trafford...do me a favour!

What about this copper-bottomed example of hypocrisy from Sad Cafe? I can hear the wailing and gnashing of teeth from here! HAHAHAHAHA...

They are fucking football up. It was clear even in the early days of Abramovich where this was heading. Yet the authorities have just let it happen. Now we're seeing clubs like Arsenal and Tottenham, double winners who have played themselves to where they are being held to ransom by their best players, because of a couple of sugar daddys turning up and elevating their respective clubs purely based on money. FFP has come far too late, and looks about as effective as a chocolate teapot

The figures I read were about £150 for City's XI and about £158 for scum XI.

Why does almost everything we discuss on here include reference to United?

My rag mate texted this, My rag mate said this..., Taggert did this, Rio tweeted that....

Who gives a fcking shit.

Nasri chose us because we will pay him the most money.

I keep hoping that one day, just one day. you might post something that makes me think, " hmm, maybe he is a blue after all".

I meant the starting XIs on opening weekend of the season, not how much we've spent this year.

Hart - £1.6 million
Richards - Academy
Kompany - £6 million
Lescott - £24 million
Clichy - £7 million
de Jong - £14 million
Barry - £12 million
YaYa - £28 million
Silva - £24 million
Johnson - £7 million
Džeko - £27 million
---
Total -£150.6
