Heart of Midlothian FC Thread

These names bring back some memories from my childhood, and the Shoot! league ladders.

Each team's tab had the club name, nickname and home ground on it, and I used to love updating them, every Sunday from the tables published in the newspapers.

I recognised some of them, but couldn’t remember which club was associated with the particular name.

Magnetic these days, apparently. Today's whippersnappers may have the digit(al) dexterity, but I doubt they'd have the patience for something so frustratingly fiddly.

I was all for the pyramid system right up until I had to travel to Elgin on a cold dark Sunday morning lol

Was thinking about the old grounds no longer there. Muirton Park was my first Rangers game. Bay view East Fife, Brockville, Douglas Park, Boghead, Meadowbank and Love Street. I’ve probably missed a few
My personal favourite is sadly no longer in the 42. Cliftonhill is like Scottish version of Kenilworth Rd with its dilapidated old school feel.

I lived in Luton and not too far away from Kenilworth Road. Know it well

I actually never went to Cliftonhill as it was not deemed suitable for Rangers and we played Albion Rovers at Almondvale (Tony Macaroni) or whatever it’s called now.

I forgot about Brechin City. Famous for the Hedge and it was a 3-4 win for Rangers in a cracking game with last minute winner

Have you done Ibrox? If not let me know and you can have my season ticket for the day. As long as it’s not the game when we win the league lol

Strange that Meadowbank is back being used again
