We got beat at Maine rd by Arsenal and they was mint think we lost 5-1.

Was indeed - 2003. I seem to remember Arsenal getting applauded off at h/t - although our defending that day was truly woeful.

Liverpool beat us 5-0 in 1982. I’m not sure if anyone has matched that. Can’t remember if they have. But certainly no one has beaten it in my time.

I’m sure we must have conceded 6 at home at some point in history. But it was a very long time ago, the last time it happened.

Seem to remember losing 4-0 at home to Grimsby in about 1964..

Did you see it? Attendance just 11,500 or thereabouts according to the History section. Jesus, Grimsby! I'd forgotten they'd even got as high as the Second Division…

Whilst not the heaviest in scoreline, we got battered 3-0 at home to Leicester first year at the etihad. Dickov scored and slid on his knees against us. That game was horrible, we was battling with them to stay up and they rocked up and brushed us aside. Player called Stewart I think scored the first goal, rocket it was.
