Morning All,
As Rugby League is my 2nd passion, I will be of course attending todays Grand Final at The Swamp with fellow non-believing pie-eaters.
As we are setting off to sink a few from 10am (arriving 11.30am ish) I thought i'd suggest a few bars near Piccadilly station for starters before moving on.
Obviously, my usual haunts for home games are in the opposite direction so am a bit of a novice in Central Manchester and require your help.
For last years derby, myself and a few other blues went into a really cheap and cheerful bar a street or two back from Piccadilly - towards the Northern Quarter. Alas, we had had that many none of us can remember the name. All I can offer is that we had to go downstairs to the bar area and it looked like an old disused nightclub.
One thing is for certain, it was extremely cheap - the clinching decision for us really!
One lad mentioned that he thought it was called Fridays but i thought this was a nightclub in Didsbury!
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Failing that, any suggestion of a place to chill for a couple of hours at "reasonable" prices would be welcomed.
Cheers,
