Hi everybody ! I'm french and i'm a huge city fan. I've never been to see a city game and i would like my dream to come true. Next season i would like to attend to the derby in city of manchester stadium but i've no idea of how finding tickets.
I've sent an e-mail to the TO and they told me that i could buy tickets on city website without any special card and if i buy it ten days before tip-off the could send it in France. So my question is: Is it possible to get tickets for the manchester derby by internet without having any fan card or anything else ?
I've read many topics here and saw that I needed points or card to buy tickets. I don't understand everything. I'm really sorry for my bad english and hope you an happy day.

Thanks.

alright mate, i reckon you'll probably need a city/accesscard to get a ticket for the derby, although you could borrow someones customer number off here and get yourself a ticket over the phone.

No chance to get one by the general sale on internet ?
What you can do is register for a customer number on <a class="postlink" href="http://www.mcfc.talent-sport.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mcfc.talent-sport.co.uk</a>
If the tickets do go on general sale which is unlikely, you can buy on there. They'll send them to you.

thanks for your help guy ! I've juste 2 last question:
Have I more chances to get tickets by general sales for games like Chelsea or Arsenal ?
And do you think that for thys type of huge game i could use ticketexchange service ?

Phone the ticket office............buy an access card (£2) and then you can buy tickets for games BEFORE they go on general sale.

but i don't need this card for ticket exchange so ?

For example in France many people sell their tickets on website like ebay, why isn't it possible in your country ?

It is most unusual for people to sell City tickets on Ebay. I would not know though as i would never need to look for them on Ebay. Your best bet is to get an access card and then you will have your own unique supporter number and you can get yourself a ticket for most games. The bigger the game the less chance you have.......but for the last 2 years the derby has gone on general sale.

A lot of people do sell there clubs tickets on ebay, its just that city have a different ticketing method than most other clubs. Each member has card that gets activated for a certain match once they have purchased it, therefore it is rare that they will sell paper tickets. Thats why they are no citytickets on ebay.

I'd recommend that you get yourself a CityCard, its about £15 and allows you first dibs on home game tickets before general sale.

I'd advise getting one of the two city cards next season with its number. You then buy for individual games and get access to the ground via the card. For many matches you can buy a seat with the free AccessCard but if you pay more (£30 this season) for a CityCard you get some priority. Also for some games (not the derby) you can buy a seat for cash on the day of the game at the South Ticket Office (cash only) without having a card. This would be for the less popular games against, unless the police insist no sales on the day for security reasons.

As you may also know, there is a Seat Exchange scheme where you can get tickets via people (usually Season Card holders) who want to sell a particular match as they can't go. Here's the link:

<a class="postlink" href="http://mcfc.seatexchange.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://mcfc.seatexchange.com/</a>

Best of luck!

Because it's illegal (to sell or otherwise dispose of a ticket for a football match)

Register as a supporter NOW so you can get a customer number.

By the time the derby comes, you should be able to buy your ticket. You need to get your customer number now because they stop accepting new supporters registering for Citycards when the derby tickets go on sale, so United fans can't buy tickets.

The game will most likely go on sale to citycard holders, so you should get a ticket.
