Help in surviving a knife attack.

Run, Hide, Tell

Should be the norm for all in any attack, but people are different some are flight and some are fight, unril it happens to you you cannot say. what you would do as your own instincts will kick in

No no I mean in a situation where you’re one on one with an assailant throwing a drink at him can throw him off balance, create a bit of distance and buy you a split second

Can’t find a video but this blog covers various kinds of objects to use as weapons or merely as distraction techniques although it’s largely common sense

In a situation where you've no choice, the nearest thing to hand is useful.
Phone torch in the dark being a good example.

Things you can legally carry to use as a weapon if attacked.
Just don't ever admit to carrying them as a self defence tool, or you will be prosecuted.

Large umbrella with a big spike on the end. (Golfing)
Big maglite torch. (the big fucker, weighs a ton)
Can of wd40.(small) spray this in face, game over. Quick kick in the bollocks and your off.
Super bright torch. (off temu, blinds the assailant)
Big bunch of keys on a stainless whip.
Jiffy lemon.(one of the best)
Any of these could put an attacker off for long enough so you can leg it.
I'm thinking here more of walking alone at night, but every little helps.
All are perfectly explainable why you just happened to have them with you.

Fella at work cycles up the falowfield loop to work and has a can of wasp spray in his bag for the near mount road to Leve stretch through reddish border and Gorton which is notouriously full of scrotes attacking people with weapons

Deep Heat is good for aching bones on a cyclist! My wife always has a small can in her bag when she’s walking alone!

I can barely work a jiffy Lemon in the confines of my kitchen and if I used an ultra bright torch I'd be more likely to blind myself than the wide eyed attacker with a knife :)

In light of the amount of knife crimes these days and the possibility of them being used in a terrorist attack, I thought I'd post this video, which has some great advice. Most people will know some of it but there may be tips you don't know. Forewarned is forearmed and hopefully none of us will ever be in such a position, but the information here may just save your life if you are.

I, sincerely, hope this is humour!!

I can't tell any more on BM...

Why would i joke about such a serious subject? Knives are being used more and more these days and as such crimes are increasingly in the headlines i guarantee there will be people who have never entertained the idea of carrying one doing so for self protection. Nobody knows if and when they may be caught up in facing one and watching such information may just help if you are. But you treat it as a joke and crack on.
