In the past few years I have meet a Polish guy who worked with the wife 30 or so years of age he is great to talk to about the politics of Eastern Europe but regarding United the red mist covers his eyes. Last season it was posted on bluemoon the cost of the two teams in the swamp derby also going back a year or so there was a link to "The History Boys" that showed the amount of money spent by both United and Liverpool, any chance of them being posted again I would print them off and give my Polish friend a copy as its impossible to convince him verbally

Re: Help me put a United fan strait

The starting United team cost more than the starting City team in one of the swamp derbies but when you mention spending, they only spend what they earn.
They have, however been known to,
Break the record for a goalkeeper with De Gea
Break the record for a teenager with Shrek
Break the record for a defender with Rio
Break the record for an attacker with Cole
Break the record for an Argie with Veron
and broke their own record TWICE last season with Fellaini & Mata.

Despite having debts somewhere around the £380m mark.

Theyve had their time at the top with City winning fuck all but that's all over now. We're twice as good a team; at least, and they'll be needing at least six players to compete with us and Chelsea next season.

City will be up there and challenging for trophies for years to come, however it's foolhardy to dismiss United after one poor season. I don't think they will reach the dominating heights of Ferguson's best era, when they won title after title, after title, but they will be a title challenger again sooner rather than later, they have far too much money to not be.

That's pretty much what I meant. The days where they won the league 3 times interspersed with Arsenal or Chelsea winning the odd league are over. We'll be fighting for the title at least every two years based on the current squad. Cant say the same foe the vermin without them rebuilding majorly, question is: will they? Fingers crossed they don't! Or, buy shite like A&E again so we can point at them and laugh

its all about value for money 2 premier league's fa cup league cup community shield 4 seasons in the champions league
