Help needed:: iPod repairs.

Hello BMers.My daughter has dropped her iPod and smashed half the screen. What's the easiest/cheapest way of replacing it (the screen). Thanks in advance.

What iPod is it? If it's anything other than a Touch then it will be cheaper to so yourself. It's really easy, loads of guides out there for it, just Google it. Had to replace the screen of my Nano, took me about 15 minutes in total

It is indeed an iPod touch. Cheers anyway.

My wife smashed the screen of her 3GS the other day. Bought a kit for it off ebay for a fiver and watched the youtube video on it about how to fix.

Takes about 30 minutes. The screws are ridiculously small.

There should be a kit for yours available too.

Phone shop wanted 50 notes.

Oven gloves?! Not easy? Fiddly? I don't think my shaking paws(all that cheap white cider) would let me finish this task. Cheers.

there are plenty of back street shops who should do it for you for £40 max
