Help re train station and Drink

hey guys.... ive ditched the car for the Arsenal game tomorrow and am geting the train to Manchester Piccadilly.....

whats the best way to walk to COMS from here...

Also any fellow bluemooners having a drink any where along the way!!!!

its also a good half hour walk, but if the suns shining walk down the canal and it brings you out on Joe Mercer way....its the scenic route if you can call it that.

Ashburys is the nearest train station and not all trains stop there also they dont advertise when a train does stop there to stop fans using it....its not geared up for large groups of people......and its also a good 20/30 minute walk from there as well.

Get the Train from Heaton Chapel Trainstation...thats where i always go ;)

Takes 10 mins longer by canal. I always thought canals were supposed to be straight. This one isn't (and there's more than 1 in the area).
