Whenever I try to watch a video or live stream I get a message saying that my "ialmrnt5" has stopped working correctly and needs to close.
How does a techyphobe like myself fix this?

Sounds like a display driver problem. If you have the graphics card disc lying around, reinstall the graphics drivers.

It's time to update your Inter graphics drivers.

To find out what graphic / video card you have, do this.
Right click "My Computer"
Then choose "Properties"
Then the "Hardware" tab
Then the "Device manager" button
Then click the "+" sign by the listing "Display Adapters"

Remember that Name, or leave that window opened.

The drivers are avaiable on Intels Support Site, here you will find them http://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx?lang=eng

Just browse tho the colums, select "graphics" in product family column, then Desktop drivers if you ave a PC or Laptop drivers for Notebooks. Then you will get Names in the "product name" column listed, see for the Name you found in your Device Manager windows.

Select it, nd it will give you like 10 - 15 results. Search for XP or WIN7 (what you have) [[ not 64bit ]]. Download, install, job done.

Or just do a Windows update, it will find them automaticly nd you just have to select them. ;)

The video on the first page is such a pain you have to stop it playing,I know you need to advertise but I have to close internet explorer to stop the damn thing doing so has altered my settings and took me over 2 hours to find what had gone wrong,I do not post alot but spend many hours reading bluemoon, but I am finding this a real pain.

it has now got a lot worse, I cant even switch the friggin thing on and have had to borrow the next door neighbours laptop.
need to find a way to fix it very soon before i go mad, not just missing Bluemoon, but live feeds, poker, flight prices, tinternet banking, bets, racing, shopping,
might ask the family and friends if anyone has an old hub they dont use anymore until i can get mine fixed or replaced.

bud provide some more details if you seriously want to get help bout.

Started about a week ago with the ialmrnt5 alert coming up every time i tried to watch a feed, which meant that I had to reboot, now it will often not even open up, and when I try to start up it has to be in "safe mode" which often does not work and quite often cuts out as if there was a power surge even though there is a power surge protector in the lead leading to the pooter.
The local pooter repair shop has quoted £50 if it is a software issue, but if it is a hardware issue then dear knows how much it could cost me :-(
My brother in laws nephew is a pooter wiz, but is on holidays atm so i might have to wait till he returns, but in the meantime, I am trying everything to see if i can remain connected until then.

How did I survive for over 30 years with no internet? (often with only three TV channels)

Oh, just received an upgrade to an iphone, so on the 7th i will at least have a sort of internet connection, though wouldnt fANCY WATCHING A LIVE GAME ON IT

Sounds like hardware.
Well at least you can visit bluemoon how ever you do it.

Try this link, seems like the graphics card driver needs updating.

thanx all, have been offline for the most of the week as my pc is away at the pooter hospital and i have managed to "borrow" the next door neighbours laptop (maybe she will dance when she wants it back).
Hopefully the operation will restore the pooter to its former good health but I am starting to think and look at any decent deals on if i need to replace, though i have seen on one of the tv channels of a new device that is coming out that allows you to use your tv as a monitor as long as the area is covered by wireless broadband.

-- Mon Oct 03, 2011 6:09 pm --

IMTEMPO Evolve #199.99 off the TV and it allows me to browse the net on my TV.
Only got it 45 minutes ago and the qwerty keypad that comes with it is a little fiddly, but you can always plug in a normal mouse nad keypad if you so wish, but at least I am back online.

Now to slag off that cnut teves and then to go into off topic and slag off those tories that are ruining our country.
Any questions please feel free to PM and I will do my best to answer, but this seems like a great new toy:-)
