Cut a long story short.
Basically I've forgotten the password on the iPod,trying to gain access to wi-fi via Sky internet.
Was told to reset all settings,no luck.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Is it the password for your Sky router you've forgotten or a password for your iPod?
iPod mate.
I Bluetooth it to a Bose mini speaker.
This morning I couldn't get them to match.
Thought it was the iPod.
Told to reset settings on an Apple forum, that's when I lost the password.
Can't get into Sky on the wi-fi.
Got the speaker working on the mrs iPad ok.
Thanks mate.
I see you post in here regularly,so you obviously know what yer on about.

I think you need to connect it to iTunes and do a reset.

If you reset the iPod, then AFAIK there's no password, no nothing, no music, no paired devices, so it's like starting from scratch.

Pretty sure PB means to "Sync" so that it takes the ipod back to the previous back up point(before he rest everything).
Then if you can't remember your apple account password you will have to jump through hoops (like security questions/registered email addy) to get a password reset.
**my son has a 3gs phone not a ipod but i believe they are very similar**
