A lot has happened at City since I last posted ... Our competition is now Liverpool, Spurs & Leicester instead of the Rags & Arsenal.

I think I last posted in 2009, when I was able-boddied. Excluding a recent post about Colin Bell.

Now I am severely disabled with a brain injury, and have been disabled since 2009.

They removed about 1/2 of my cerebellum. That is part of my brain. Now I have no balance, & cannot walk. I use a walker or wheelchair to get around. I am totally deaf in my right ear. I have slanted double vision - because of the slant it cannot be rectified by lenses. I cannot speak clearly. What I think in my head does not come out of my mouth. If I talked to you, you would not understand me. I use email to communicate. my email address is danielstone56@gmail.com.

I was in hospital for 14 months. I had breathing & feeding tubes, though both have now been removed. I cannot drive, because of my double vision.

I have had to sell my large 5 bedroom, 3 storey house on a big lot in central Toronto, Canada. I have moved to Alexandria, near Ottawa. (Toronto was very expensive).

I think my username was Toronto. I think that some of my counterparts were Mick & Fleetwood. If you know anything, please email me.

Hart, Zabelletta, Viny, Karlo, Kolorov, Yaya, Barry, DeJong, David Silva, Ballotelli, Tevez, Djeko, Navas, the 2 Shmeikles, Robhino, Anelka, SWP, Elano, Giovanni, Mancini, Pellegrino, Sven, Hughes, Keegan, Arteta, Shinatra, & others, have left. We have started winning. We beat the Rags at the Swamp 6-1. We have started to play beautiful football. Edison, Walker, Mendy, Cancello, Dias, Stones, Laporte, Aki, Ferdandino, Rodri, Gundolan, De Bryne, Foden, Bernado Silva, Mahrez, Kun, Jesus, Torres, Sterling, Pep, Sheik Monsour, & others, have come. Our competition is now Liverpool, Spurs & Leicester instead of the Rags & Arsenal.

Sorry to hear what you have gone through mate. Please continue to post and let us know how you are and your thoughts on our amazing club. If there was anywhere else I would want to live in the world other than Scotland, it would be Canada. Take care mate.

Mick and Fleetwood Blue were on Talkin' City not Bluemoon so far as I can remember. I could be wrong though. I do remember you on there I am pretty sure as Toronto or Toronto Blue. I think Mick may post on here, or did occasionally, under the name of Dancing Badger. That's just a guess on my part because he had a dancing Badger as his avatar on Talkin' City. I never asked if it was him. Fleetwood just disappeared from Talking' City, as he did often, and don't think he ever made it here to talk about City. I think he got more involved with Fleetwood Town in an official capacity which took up his time.

Pretty sure it's not. It did make a comeback, one of many after it left its Wookies' host, but it ended up just the three or four mods posting. Shame as it was good in its day but constantly closing made most people look elsewhere for their City chat.

Hi Daniel. I used to be a regular on Talkin' City and remember Toronto Blue on there from back in the day. My heart goes out to you for everything you've been through but I'm also full of admiration for the way you're hanging in there in the face of such adversity. I hope that you've been able to derive a small amount of solace from City over the last decade or so.

As @manchester blue says, Talkin' City is unfortunately dead and has been for quite a while. Before that, it was basically on life support for an extended period. It must be over a decade since it was really a functioning forum.

I posted under this name on there, and am still in touch with quite a number of the regular posters via Facebook (of which I'm not a great fan but which allows me to maintain contact with people whom I'd otherwise probably lose track of). Among them are canadablue, Blue Spice, H, Dizzy (the Leeds fan), ChinnorBlu, and a couple of others whose old aliases I no longer remember. I've interacted with most of those at some point fairly recently and by and large they're doing OK, but none as far as I know posts on here (or on any other City forum online).

Of the old crowd that you can find on here, @Prestwich_Blue is a prominent poster. Someone also posts under the name @BlueAnorak and I've always assumed that it's the same BA as used to be on Talkin' City, though I've never checked.

Mick (Dancing Badger), Tragic, Blue Haggis and @Prestwich_Blue are all on Twitter. If you've never been on there, I'd be wary as it can be an absolute cesspit. I generally use it to follow others' views rather than join in discussions. Anyway, if you want to find those old TCers, PM me on here and I'll tell you how.

Fleetwood Blue was on Facebook, but seems to have deleted his account as far as I can tell. He also has a Twitter account but hasn't tweeted for over seven years. He walked away from Fleetwood Town years ago, before they even made it into the Football League, because he thought that a lot of hangers-on had been welcomed in and had changed the character of the club. He claimed to have lost all positive feelings towards them and not even to check their results any longer.

The last I heard, he still followed City, but watched the matches of the main men's team on TV, reserving visits to the stadium for the women's team. He'd also formed an attachment to a non-league club from just outside Blackpool. They're in a feeder league of the North West Counties League and I'm not sure whether he had a formal involvement with them or just went down there to watch.

Anyway, mate, all the very best to you. I hope that, if you're able to follow tonight's second leg CL tie, Pep and the boys bring you (and us all) a little bit of joy.

Yeah, that was me, I was on Talkin' City and Wookies - the dancing badger avatar came before the user name! I occasionally put my head over the parapet here, but I don't really post much on forums anymore. Daniel messaged me and I've replied with updates on people who were active in those days that I am still in touch with and can remember the user names - the issue is the user names, I often don't remember what people called themselves. As for Fleetwood, he disappeared off my radar years ago and my recollection is much as yours, that he got more involved with Fleetwood Town. Although I do have a vague memory of some argy bargy of some nature - there used to be the odd bit of argy bargy on Talkin' City.
