Henning Mankell will be sorely missed.

Read all the Wallander books, enjoyed the Dogs of Riga, Firewall; the missus watched all the series and is a fan.

I have nothing but the utmost respect for the late Mr Mankell and his support of the Palestine just cause.

Never read the books but loved the tv program. Do the books feature wallanders daughter more as was told the tv show decided to leave her out of the stories when the actress who played her died.

rIn all of the Wallander books, Linda is a peripheral character. Mankell did write one book "Before the Frost" which is more about Linda around the time she starts in the police.

Not really - he abandoned her as a spin off project after one book following Johanna Sallstroms suicide it upset him so much.
