The former Sao Paulo midfielder has been linked with a part-exchange involving young Swedish striker John Guidetti plus €17.5 million but there has not been any official contact so far.

Not sure I'm so keen on it if that's the price... I wonder if that's why we're fairly consistently being linked with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang...

Leonardo has suggested that Paris Saint-Germain could make a move for Manchester City's Samir Nasri this summer by describing the forward as a "great French player" whom the director of football would like to see at the club.

If we could either swap Nasri for Pastore (with some cash changing hands), or pull of a rather convoluted swap deal - where Nasri goes to PSG, Pastore to Milan (where he wants to go), someone to Lazio and Hernanes to us - then we get a playmaker AND get to keep Guidetti. Win-win

Hernanes agent invites Man City approach

The agent of Lazio midfielder Hernanes appears to have invited interest from Manchester City by speaking of the player's admiration for the club and the Premier League.
Hernanes, 27, has been linked with a move to City with prolific reserves striker John Guidetti, who impressed on loan at Feyenoord last season, moving in the opposite direction.
It is believed City would be willing to offer in the region of £15 million plus their Swedish striker to make the deal worth £25 million.
Roberto Mancini is eager to freshen up his attacking options over the summer with Brazil international Hernanes, who has two years left on his contract, said to be high on his wanted list. Underperforming stars such as Samir Nasri could make way for his arrival.
Agent Joseph Lee told LaLazioSiamoNoi.it: "These are rumours and for now I do not wish to comment on them. City are a top club at world level and Hernanes loves the Premier League. But I have too much respect for Lazio to say any more.
"We discussed many things with [Lazio] president Claudio Lotito in September, including his contract, but the situation has remained unchanged since then. There are no other meetings planned.
"What would happen if an offer came in from Manchester City? I repeat, for now we are talking about rumours, but if it did arrive then Lotito would be forced to call us..."

Does'nt Hernanes play as a box to box mdiflder for Brazil? I am sure that's where I have seen him play the last few times I have seen Brazil play.

Hernanes is a good player but I'm not sure where he would play? He used to play further back but has been playing ad a CAM for Lazio for most of this season and he doesn't play wide so im curious as to where he'd play in our squad cause the only spot I can see him playing is deep which im pretty sure he can do.

Not thrilled about the idea of paying more than 15m for him tbh

Really? Great vision, scores a fair few from midfield, good touch and exceptional with either foot.

I rate Hernanes and think he's better than Nasri but he's 27 soon to be 28 and unlike a Yaya or a Giggs I can't see him playing at 35 and he might struggle to settle in as he relies on dribbling into space.

His age scares me dude.. plus if he takes a full season to adapt to the league its pretty much like a wasted season. Just not keen on paying a lot for someone who before you know it will be on the wrong side of 30
