A lot of people on here got very heated in their posts defending Robinho. The same people always come out and say it's the rag infested meadia and that he's been misquoted. The facts are he's wanted away from day one, he looks out only for himself and he'll always blame his failure on others. He's been crap at City, as a fan I'll certainly not remember him with any great fondness or respect.

Its that sort of crap that make us look small minded and bitter

Whether Rob has been great or not is irrelevant in so much that him leaving leaves us with little cover. Bellamy isn't exactly a stranger when it comes to injuries and it's well known he struggles to play more than 90mins a week, although to his credit he's been playing a lot just recently. Then there's Petrov, who in my opinion can as infuriating Robinho, you know he's capable but he's prone to sulking and doing fuck all.

However you look at it, we're losing a player, we have numerous players out through injury.

Be much easier to swallow if we had adequate cover and a full squad.

We'll soon have no ball players left. This may please the fans of the Dickov-Tevez approach to the game, no insult to those two players, I love them both, but ultimately we need players who can pass the ball and split a defence. Tevez is a great passer in the final 3rd, Ireland on his day can do anything but we have missed Elano at times this season, in my opinion, and the departure of Robinho means we could soon be fielding a team with little creativity.

I'm off the opinion that you need Tevez's and Robinho's to win anything. Look at the shite, they had Rooney putting in a shift every week whilst Ronaldo jogged about a bit before sewing up the game with a touch of class. Yeah I know Rob has hardly been in form but we all know what he can do at his best.

Robinho creates very little and he's so ineffective that he's not much use as cover for anybody, he aint going to sit in the middle and stroke the ball about, he faffs around the periphery of a game having little impact. We do need more creativity in midfield but Robinho or Elano certainly not the answer. Robinho was a promising youngster that never really fulfilled his potential, he's never been a world class player and never will be.

we have been crying out for cover of the creative kind even with robbie,when ireland is out we have very few if any options to open up a game if needed and i just hope mancini can pull something out of the bag in the coming week otherwise i feel our target of top 4 maybe be cut short this season?

This is a pretty accurate view on Robinho, agreed with pretty much all of it, to the blue tinted spectacle wearers it's rag rubbish but really it's the truth!

Well it looks like be are about to do a Chelsea > Sheva / Crespo.

I vented my anger on this last night basically I dont have any time for Robonho, he never wanted to play for city, came for the money now hes bored, does nt like the country, culture, weather, league whatever. Now decided he wants to go home to get himself fit and ready for the world cup. He is dictating to the club what will happen he is forcing this move through, not sure I like the sort of precident that sets.

Plenty of people on here seem to be of the opinion the manager / fans / the club / media etc have forced him out, blaming anyone but the player himself. Personally I have never seen Robinho get any stick at matches only adulation.

He hasnt showed up for city for over 12 months made any effort or shown any commitment to the club despite our enourmous outlay. People might be happy with this and sad to see him go but at this stage I am certainly not.

He is a world class player he showed that for a few months when he first signed him, unfortuantely hes not interested and doesnt want to be here so there you go. Personally I would rather he went to Barca if its a loan puts him int he shop window at the highest level maybe we could get a player in return or it could be part of a player transfer down the line. Problem is based on current form and the attitude he has shown at the end at real and since comming to city coupled with his enourmous wages I cant see any big side in Europe wanting to take him on at the moment.

These top Braziian players always seem to burn out long before they should and invariably it seems down to attitude and commitment.

It doesn't take much to replace Robinho, he'll not be missed one bit, any of our kids could contribute more than the soppy one!
