Hi-Fi Recommendations.

I recently bought from Creative Audio a Marantz cd6005 cd player & pm6005 amp along with some Q acoustics concept 20 speakers... All for about £950... Sounds great.. i stream music through an iphone therefore using the DAC in the CD player for optimum sound .. Very happy with sound quality & volume... also unlike most amps i can run two sets of speakers..

All over these. Been looking for a decent but good looking system to plug my record player into.

The well known auction website is worth a look, with a little bit of patience you can put together an excellent system on there, I've done it several times.
Thanks for that mate, I have been having look and comparing them with online shops. I do not really know enough to buy used, though some shops have slight seconds, just a tiny mark on them. Some Rega speakers have caught my eye up to now.

my wife says they will get really dusty :)

I use a monolith ZXX566PR9 Amp with Spectre TTR9F' Parametric speakers with PACC balancing and G series whim wham valve

great sound

As has been said Richer sounds is probably your best bet, superfi can be just as good though and there is a shop opposite superfi on bridge street (can't remember the name) which might be worth look.

I got the Tannoy DC6's on black monday last month from richer sounds for 200, they are still 200 now and could be a very good start:

Very good reviews:

I've got an old NAD cd player but listen to music via spotify and other digital sources now so was gonna get a digital amp to hook up to my speakers and pc. Was looking at this:

http://www.sevenoakssoundandvision.co.uk/p-10985-nad-d3020-blk.aspx?gclid=CJKEnJ-S7sICFSfItAodlBEAGQ

Just stick a playlist on your pc or fone hook it up to this and your speakers and away you go. One thing that appealed to me is the bluetooth - I can sat on my couch playing fifa or whatever and just stream songs from spotify through my fone to this amp uding bluetooth - so no wires. Unfortunately 400 is a lot of money right now so I'm waiting for this or something similar to get <300 really, but food for thought for you mate!

One thing more than anything tho is to go in and have a listen. Superfi and richer sounds ill be happy for you to go in and demo some of their gear before buying, so give it a go and see what you like
