On t'North Yorkshire Moors we had a massive storm about 10 years ago and a lot of roofs were damaged however mine wasn't. My neighbour had some ridge tiles put back on and his roofer said mine needed sorting too. I asked him for a price and never heard 'owt from him.
Fast fwd to today - the umpteenth bout of high winds since that fateful day and I have never had so much of a cracked tile so either he was bullshitting me or I have an armoured roof - either way happy to report the winds are subsiding here and my roof remains intact !
