From 1st January - the end of the season he scored 44 goals and 16 assists in 33 games. Ended the season with 73 goals and 33 assists in 60 games. 10 hattricks. In one season.

Just think about that. It's like KDB's best season of assists combined with Aguero's 2 best scoring seasons.

And the thing is, that completely undersells how brilliant he was. He was creating the goals himself, he could have had 20 more assists if his teammates had put away tap ins he'd created for them, he was beating 2 or 3 players every time he got the ball. He couldn't be tackled, his passing was absolutely perfect.

There's never been anything like it and there never will be again.

Give a shout to Pele 1970 World Cup and most of the Brazilian team , football at the time from another planet it made the Engish game look agricultural , it wasnt just revolutionary tactics every one of that Brazilian team was comfortable on the ball , which was unheard of in that era.
 
Didn't get to see Maradona or Pele etc so for me it was the 90s players. Ronaldinho, fat Ronaldo and Romario were my idols growing up. Was a huge fan of Lothar matheus as well. What I saw of Jean pierre papin though was unreal. Strikers now are pretty crap to be fair. Once kun and ibra are finished there's only really haaland who looks to be a proper striker all the rest are inside forwards. Anyway, Ronaldinho for me had the highest peak, wish he tried the prem as everything in la liga looked too easy for him. Fantastic player to watch and you never knew what would happen next.
