Many thought he was better than Giggs when they burst on to the scene at around the same time.
And a Finnish lad called Daniel Sjölund.
He was on Liverpool's books 2000-2002, but is now playing in Sweden.
He looked a real prospect in his youth, but obviously never made it.

jermaine pennant the 2 million pound ten year old fell early on.
joe cole for me really, no doubt hes had a very good career and is a class act when he shows his form in patches but as a kid he was touted as being the saviour of mankind by all and sundry. Not hit the heights.
Scott Parker just because of the mcdonalds advert.
Pongolle and Le Tallec at the dippers were hyped up beoynd belief.
And David Bellion was utter dogmess as it happens..

Paul Rideout,scored a cracking goal for England schoolboys late seventies,early eighties.
Did bugger all afterwards,even though plenty of clubs persevered with him Everton,Villa.
Norman Whiteside,'82 world cup he stood out as he had at schoolboys(saw him at Maine Rd. for N.I.),but all down hill from there courtesy of the demon drink and injuries.

Rumour was Liverpool only signed him to stop United getting him. Got a serious injury after the move and never realy came back.
