I think this indicates Pogba is definitely off this summer.
I think we have a responsibility to ourselves and inner hatred of the rags to reach an agreement with Real whereby we may overpay for Kroos but they get Pogba.
It's not just one good player going to the rags, it puts them right back in line to being title contender's and getting them back on that path in future which will be in their favour for other signings that otherwise may think twice about them. It would also mean they've bought a galactico where we haven't really since Aguero. KDB may prove to be of that ilk (if he's not already) but I'm talking in terms of signing impact. We seem to have been yearning for that galactico signing for a while, Pep is, but Pep isn't a player.

He has an average start and they will be crucified in the press

IMO, they need a lot more than Pogba to be even genuine top four contenders, never mind title contenders. As for galacticos, dont you put Ika in that bracket. Dont buy into the theory that they are a must have accessory. They were top four contenders last season and are improving their squad considerably so I don't see why not.

There will be another hundred mill spent before the season starts. I remember all the mocking last season and yet, even with such a crap manager they gave us a run for our money. I will feel happier when we shift half a dozen players and get some top quality and fit replacements.

If (dont believe it myself though), they were to land Pogba for circa 100 big ones, I could see how they would spend the same again this window . I know they are desperate to make sure they dont go further behind, but they wont spend that big IMOIf they get Pogba then that's two good signings at least.
