Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha haHe didn't mention that they were male strippers, but hey, none of my concern.
Hitched hiked all over the place in the 80's. Only ever had one problem.... got to J19 of the M6 at Knutsford and a bloke pulled over.... Freddie Mercury tache.... I asked how far he was going and he replied ''how far do you want to go?'' as he stroked my erection under my jeans.... I gave him a kiss....
Once picked one up about 6 months after i passed my test nearly 25 years ago. Ended up threatening me and nicking my aftershave and he was wearing a celtic top. I have never been as scared in my life. Made me drive about 6 junctions further than i wanted. He will almost certainly be dead now. Good.
Lesson learnt.
Hitchhiked around Europe when I was 20.
Never really struggled to get a lift.
People stopped picking them up after the release of the Rutger Hauer film The Hitcher.
I still pick them up.
Mainly lads with trade plates these days.
But you still get the odd loony.
Picked up a white witch once.
She was feeling my head as I drove and harping on about my aura ??????
Once picked up 2 theology students at Lymm.
Wouldn't shut up about God and I eventually threw them out at South Mimms.
Mainly nice folk tho.

Do hitch hikers still exist??!!
Me and a mate got talking a couple of days ago that in the 70's/80's they seemed to be everywhere, standing on the sides of motorways, main roads etc. with their badly written cardboard destinations.
You very rarely see one now (unless I'm mistaken)
Do they exist??
How many Bluemooners have hitch hiked over the years for City trips or just in general??
