Today on TalkSHITE, Gray & Keys have been joined by Glenn Hoddle who has said that;

“The first half was very, very disappointing if you’re a City fan. They were totally outplayed by Swansea."

Was he watching the same game???

“What concerns me with City is I look at the system they're playing and don’t know whether individuals totally know what their jobs are on the pitch. Whether it’s the tactical nous getting across to the players or whether it’s the players not really taking it on board, I don’t know.
But I was very concerned by the shape they played and when players came into little holes no-one covered the areas they need to cover and I think against better teams, more forceful teams, they could have a problem if they don’t get that right.”

What a load of crap!
City last night were dominating and if we gave MoM awards to the away team then their keeper should have got it. He and the woodwork were the reason it was 0-0 at HT.
It was always a question of when not if!

In all fairness, Swansea did knock it around nicely on the deck.
But no end product.

Don't know what Hoddles beefs about really?
I guess he needs to say something controversial just to get on
the radio ;-)

I would agree we were outplayed for the first 25 mins. We couldn't get the ball off them and whilst they didnt create anything, they had control of the game in every respect.

We got into it and once we did, we didnt stop, and they couldnt cope with us.

In the first half Swansea enjoyed a lot of possession , especially early on , and were definetely not out of it ...... and yes , there were times that Swanseas neat football gave us problems in that we were struggling to overcome it , although lady luck definetely appeared to help them out a bit at times as we came more into it towards the end of the first period ..... but once the first goal went in on 57 minutes we were always in the ascendency from there on.

To be fair to Swansea they didn't attempt to kick us off the park , kept on playing their football , got in a couple of shots on goal ... and in Dyer , Britton , Sinclair and the goalkeeper , have excellent players.

Some people inc Sky need to be told its all well having 70% of the possession BUT only if you do something with it and simply dont pass it about in your own half like Swansea done.

Only 1 team in it last night and they wernt Welsh. Numerous chances + bar hit twice + keeper doing well in the 1st half alone.

No wonder he cant get back into management over here. Deluded twat

A promoted team coming to us was always going to put there mark on the game for the first 30mins. Despite there decent passing and possession there was no end product

He has a point to an extent,the first 20/25 mins of the first half we looked a team of individuals with some very laboured performances,in particular Yaya,Silva was also stuck on the left where he is far less influential,fortunately something clicked and the team stepped it up and we were very unlucky not to be leading at half time.
The second half we were awesome being far more fluid and a slight change in tactics/formation certainly contributed.

Just a pundit with a view.... Who cares, I would hardly call it attacking City! I listen to what people say, and then smile to myself as I leave the ground after yet another win ;)

Outplayed in the first twenty minutes, yes, but for all their possession and neat passing, we didn't really look threatened. For the rest of the half we dominated, had quite a few shots on target, including a cracking effort from Silva kept out by a good save from Vorm, hit the bar twice and Dzeko should have stuck one in right before the half-time whistle. To say we were totally outplayed that first half is utterly bizarre. We were on top overall in the first half and how you get from there to 'totally outplayed' is fantasy.

In all fairness to Born Again Glenn, comments like that amply demonstrate why he is no longer coaching/managing a team.

How's that 'second chance' academy coming along Glenn? Oh that's right.

Pundits make me laugh, as do fans who boo at half-time. As far as I am concerned the game is played for 90mins for a reason. Also teams aren't always going to have possession of the ball, it's what you do when you don't have the possession that wins you the game imo.

I don't know if anyone was listening earlier but on 5 lives they had Mike Sumberbee on the phone talking about Aguera.

Quick flip over to Talkshite and they have Ardiles talking briefly about his compatriot. Followed by a total w*nkfest on 'Arry and how the Spurs are gonna fair.

Just makes me wonder sometime why I just don't leave the dial well alone instead of listening to the boring nonsense on Talkshite

He's a spurs boy aint he, blames us like the rest of them for "robbing" them of their rightful place in the elite probably.

Goals win games not possession. Hence we had 25 shots and more than half of them were on target and 4 goals scored.

Saint Glenda needs another session with Eileen to sort out his karma.
