Holiday advice

I've got a family holiday booked to Spain on 31st July. Based on the latest info I think we'll be able to go.

We'll just PPE up for the plane.

Were in our own accommodation so if we have to 'quarantine' then it won't be a big deal.

Booked to go to turkey on 30th june.
With tui.
Only paid deposit cant get through not heard anything off them sick of trying.
Just booked same hotel with jet2 for july next year.
You can keep my 150 quid deposit

Looking at the Flight Radar site and was bemused at the amount of flights in the air from the South of England. Lots of places still not letting people land without going in to quarantine so why are they flying?

I’d like to know what essential travel is now. There are still flights between London and all major cities. Maybe it’s essential workers who need to do this.

Freight, food, etc.
45% of UK food is imported.

It's amazing that you are expecting to travel overseas in July and yet here in Australia, where we have had only 95 deaths from coronavirus, are told that our borders will be closed until at least September possibly even the end of the year.
We have a Vancouver/Alaska to Japan cruise booked in September but it looks like it will be cancelled.

Naive maybe, but booked flights/accommodation now for end of Jan/Feb. Travelling Man-Bangkok-Phuket-Sri Lanka-Goa-Man. Hopefully should be ok by then. Accommodation booked with Booking.com so have that flexibility to cancel as not yet paid. Problem is with flights as need all flights to be ok or all flights to be cancelled (4 different airlines). Reading some of the travel forums and I may have been a bit optimistic for Jan 2021 as a lot of doubt.

I really wouldn't want to be travelling abroad any time soon under any circumstances. How on earth can companies even allow people to travel. Let's say you're on a long haul flight, you're continously using recirculated air throughout a cabin, if there's over 300 passengers plus crew on board it's madness can even claim they can keep you safe. Until there's a vaccine I think its damning how flights for holiday purposes can even go ahead.

The recycled air is not the problem on newer planes with proper HEPA filters according to what I've read. Safer than sitting in a restaurant apparently. It's keeping 6ft apart from each other that's the problem.
