Holiday advice

You'd hope they will leave what remains of Greece alone for the short time left in their season, but its getting very close for comfort on the figures.

Just booked a little cheapy to Gdansk for end of next month, anyone been? Doing 3 nights.

Only been to Poland once before, to see us lose in Poznan. Wanna get to Krakow sometime in the near future too (been saying that for years and still not made it there)

No it isn’t.
Walk through was shut down.
Rochdale Facebook page said,

Due to severe issues beyond our control with the national COVID-19 test booking system the government has asked us to close our booking helpline, which we’d set up to help our residents get tested more easily.

You must now visit nhs.uk/coronavirus or call 119 to book a test. You cannot just turn up and you must have symptoms.

this is the current you gov page for Rochdale

We all got a test three days ago using the direct number quoted (post 1318). If it's recently changed then thank you for your kind input.

312 today I think that puts it's at just under 19 for the 7 days, assuming the decisions made tomorrow are based on those figures Greece as a whole should still be exempt from quarantine for another week atleast. Difficult to judge what they will do with individual islands / mainland though.

Getting too close for comfort now.. especially as they could put quarantine in whilst I'm away and that would end up in a race to get back home.

Think I'll stick with going Poland for a few days, not the same as lying on the beach with a beer in hand but it's better than nothing!

Need Italy to remain flat on the figures for just one more week before we go next Friday.

TUI auto cancelled hotels in Crete and Gran Canaria for that same weekend so nice to claw back that (small) amount of £££ with minimal fuss.

Halkidiki 3 weeks away, thats gonna be touch and go, wouldn't like to call it yet. Hoping for the best but expecting the worst is probably the best mindset to have with travel at the moment!

Edit...359 cases today in Greece ffs :(

Sunday and Monday are key for greece, need to stay below 500 total for both days to stay under the 20 mark.

Love Holidays and On The Beach have just resigned from ABTA, so they will not be governed by their rules for refunds.
If the plane flies you are scuppered whatever the govt advice is.
AVOID them both like the plague!

And the Thomas Cook that has risen from the ashes is also another OTA not bound by ABTA.

Relieved to see Greece record 240 today, bringing them to 18.2 per 100k.
The few previous days of 300+ cases daily had really started to give me concerns. Need a few more days starting with 2xx and not 3xx though as it's very touch and go.

Italy had a spike yesterday but back to a normal level today.

Denmark is almost 45 per 100k so it's definitely rigged if they ain't removed from the travel list on Thursday.

Perhaps the most concern should be withheld for events a lot closer to home :(
