South West Scotland.

Just outside of a town called Castle Douglas is a village called New Galloway. Have a look on the web there, might be a bit quiet for you though.

My Dad lives there... It's beautiful.

I've been going to Galloway all of my life. Pike fishing on Loch Ken is brilliant up there, and the local pubs are a scream. Plenty of nature and wildlife around too.

I try to stay at a farmhouse up in New Galloway with great views on a partially working farm. It's only about £500 for the week self catering, but you can fit about 10 people in it (if you tried).

Cross Keys Hotel/Pub is in the village too (and I seem to think is ran by a Blue).

Love it up there, I'll be going again this summer.

Head up to the North West of Northern Ireland, Portrush with its amusements and great sandy beaches, white park bay, Carrick-a-rede rope bridge, Giants Causeway, Bushmills Distillery, a range of very highly regarded campsites for static and touring caravans, some very good links golf courses if thats your thing (and you can escape for a couple of hours), the historic walled city of londonderry about 40 minutes drive up the coast, decent shopping nearby in Coleraine for the Mrs
(& if you time it right, the Milk Cup is widely regarded as one of the finest youth football tournaments in the world)
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.totaltravel.co.uk/travel/northern-ireland/antrim/portrush/directory/caravan" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.totaltravel.co.uk/travel/nor ... ry/caravan</a>
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.blairscaravans.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.blairscaravans.com/</a>

You could even spend a week in portrush and the area and then tour the west coast of ireland down about as far as Galway and then head accross country to Dublin for the ferry to Birkenhead (out stranrar - Belfast or Larne and back Dublin Hollyhead or Birkenhead)

Coed Mawr Hall
Rowen
North Wales
Beautiful location in the conwy valley and i know they have three cottages adjoining the main house, which has been renovated to a high standard.

This place is lovely, on a nice river aswell, your outside of Newquay so its quiet but only 5 mins away in the car. Lovely site- <a class="postlink" href="http://www.riversideholidaypark.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.riversideholidaypark.co.uk/</a>
Duno why I called the Euroroute the A76! Not stayed there but have lived in Stranraer and Dumfries so know the area well.

We used to holiday there for a long time with my parents and grandparents. Castle Douglas is a beautiful place as is kirkudbright.

We used to stay in a cottage on a farm just outside of a village where the name escapes me but i know for sure it is the birthplace of F1 driver David Coulthard.

I loved it there as a young lad, great for nice bike rides and some fantastic golf courses.

I dont suppose you have ever been to a place called Kipford? It had a great harbour and lovely par 3 golf course.

I miss the place greatly.

Just thought i'd bump this beauty up as i am now getting untold grief from Mrs Blue in Cumbria as nothing is booked.

We want a fancy caravan or pine lodge on a quite busy site, near the sea, ideally 'darn saath' and must have a bath!

You'll be saving my testicles if you have any ideas!!!

We did suggest St Ives mate. It ticks all your boxes...
