Down the coast road to Huntington beach and turn left just after.
Staying at Huntingdon Beach, hoping to pick up a couple of miles of route 66 on way to vegas.

That won’t refuse entry for disparaging Starmer on social media.

Not sure Mrs and Miss MB would appreciate that sadly ;)

I loved it there but it was a few years ago. Really nice chilled out little town. Snowboarding in the mornings and surfing in the afternoons.Staying at Huntingdon Beach, hoping to pick up a couple of miles of route 66 on way to vegas.

MIne too.
I drove from there to San Diego then got a bus over the border to Tijuana. Mental place and not for the faint-hearted but worth a visit.
Drove back to Vegas from there via Flagstaff and Grand canyon. One of the best drives of my life.
Oh the food...just for that alone, it's worth a visit. We did venture outside the tourist area on a locals recommendation to a little family restaurant in a pretty rough area. But My God, the food there is legendary and all made by a little old lady in a tiny kitchen. Full of locals and business people alike. My first experience of fried green tomatoes. It was unbelievably good...New Orleans is fantastic. My grandmother was from near there and used to cook us Cajun food when she’d come to visit. One of if not the best food city in the nation, along with the music. I’ve gone at Easter time and over New Year’s and I have had a great experience despite the crowds and the drunkenness. Also getting out of the French Quarter and into some other districts is a lot of fun.

They built a new airport there a few years back, the whole thing has dropped inches since it went in. Walking along foot paths you often see all the concrete broken up and huge roots sticking outNew Orleans is sinking man and I don’t wanna swim.
