Holidays

just been to Cyprus for a wedding far far to hot with high humidity.how the fuck the locals put up with it ive no idea.or maybe I should holiday in the north pole
There next year for a wedding, near Aya Napa is all I know. Olympic Lagoon apparently. All inclusive. Beach front. My idea of hell. Hiring a car and going to explore as much as possible which has bemused my mate who's idea of a good holiday is 2 weeks by a pool doing nothing but drinking shite lager.

@bluwes i know it wasn't this thread but you recommended I visit Eze which I did yesterday. There were lots of guards round a big house on the beach, apparently Bono's. Anyway I am now sat in a dentist in Nice after breaking a tooth on an olive I had in a restaurant there. At the very least you should go halves. :)

Put it under your pillow tonight and the tooth fairy will come..........Well there's as much chance of that happening..lol
Other than the tooth , hope you're having a great time

Driving up to the Peak District in the morning, shitty northern weather is forecast, making the early summers glorious warmth a distant memory! Wellies, walking boots and waterproofs will be the order of the day.
Suppose it beats queuing up for 4 hrs at immigration at least!!!

Some very good restaurants in Mougins mate, if you can get up there.

This is our first 'proper' holiday in the UK for a very long time.
Walked up Snowden a week last Friday and the weather for sat was for sun.
About half a mile from the peak the wind and low cloud came in. 200 metres from the top the rain started. Thought we'd get the train down, oh no chance the fucking thing had stopped due to the weather. Thought I'd have a warm drink in the cafe, not open as the staff can't get there, wtf?
Came down the whole way in my shorts as I couldn't be arsed putting my waterproof pants on and then didn't realise there was a nice cosy pub at the bus stop because we stood at the wrong one in the rain for 40 minutes.
Took six days for my boots to dry.
On to Portmeirion where it rained on and off.
Then to Tenby where we had two days of rain and 45mph winds during the night.
Currently in Somerset where we actually saw the sun for the morning cycling to Cheddar Gorge.
Today has been overcast but dry unlike Weston Super Mare that is a dank and fucking miserable. On to Weymouth tomorrow and finishing the grand tour in Brighton next weekend.

Thank fuck City now play in Europe as well, but those four sunny days in Nice seem a long time ago.

Aix is nice, if you get chance keep going west after into the camague and take a look at the flamingos.

Good, looking forward to it. I'll have a look at that. We're doing trains so no car so we're relying on public transport a lot. Off up to Dinan after that up in the north, hopefully arriving in time for Brighton game ;)
