Went to London for one night last weekend. Dropped well over £500 and that was with the three return train tickets only being £80. Could’ve gone to the med for a couple of nights for that amount

I met two Blues at Euston once and took them to West London for QPR Away. One needed the toilet so we jumped off the tube at Notting Hill for a pint and to use the gents. The other lad got a round in and gave the barman a £20 note for three pints. It wasn’t enough. He was crimson when he got to the table.

If you know London then try Sam Smiths pubs for an affordable pint.

We usually rent a cottage for the week somewhere in the uk in june, me, mrs , 2 kids, but never again. The weather ruins it.

Last year in north dorset it rained every day and found ourselves driving further and further each day to find something to do. Last day we drove 1.5 hours , 1/3 of the way home!

Same in seahouses the year before. Same in dorset year before that. We have ended up coming home a day early from each trip.

So this year its a short 4 night road trip, different gaff each night, not so weather dependent on decent weather.
Newbury, new forest, bournemouth, poole.

Crete in aug.

Probably best avoiding anything that lands at Antalya at the very least unfortunately, on our way back shortly and the rudest fuckers as per usual have been the Russians followed by the Germans.

Really don’t understand why the Turks have such a love in for these two, I’d rather go bust than be treated and ordered around like a skivvy.

I've stayed in the lara barut collection which is not to far from Antalaya airport. If your after a luxury hotel in a resort which you don't plan on leaving I recommend it . The beaches ain't that great in this area but its got water slides and loads of pools . Been twice and hoping to go again next year . Its pricey but far better than the other place I tried. No Russians aswell.

Can Picafort deal popped up today for 10 nights @Hotel Son Baulo half board, right on the beach for only £330. Tui day flights there and back and on it like a dose of salt .. Cheap as chips.

olu deniz is a nice little resort lovely beach lots to do (boat trips paragliding rafting etc) been a couple times over the years didn't notice any Russians they usually go to the alanya area

Just back from 4 days at our favourite hotel, Golden Taurus Park, Pineda de Mar, 40 miles north of Barcelona.

Looks a great hotel. We stopped just down the road in Calella on a Barca away. Load of City staying there for a mid week break (Amaika Htop Blues). A nice stretch of coast line.

Yes, it is a nice stretch of coast. During Covid times, we had to go to Calella for our tests before returning home.

When you take the train into Barcelona, you pass through a load of resorts on the way. I think unofficially, it is called the Barcelona Coast.

And being at Lara it will give you a close up view of all of the Russian airliners arriving that no longer have any safety or maintenance records. I'm quite surprised that any country is allowing these through or into their airpsace as it only requires one to have been despached with, say, inoperative TCAS and it's an accident waiting to happen.
