Holidays

Anyone worried about the issue with fuel in the coming months?
The guy in charge of Ryan Air said there could be shortages so im worried now about my trip to tenerife in June.

I think it's impossible to tell at the moment. If things carry on as they are there is no doubt that airlines will seriously consider trimming flights back. We have a trip to Zante in mid-May and I'm only 60% convinced it will go ahead as we're going with BA and if there's a fuel shortage those are the sort of "low yield" flights that they may well cancel to ensure their core scheduled operation can continue. Of course the situation for Ryanair is very different as their core business is getting people to the likes of Tenerife and other holiday destinations. Time will tell.

Amazing country ,been 4 times now.
Really cheap ,friendly locals, amazing beaches.
Hanoi is more cultural than Ho Chi Minh but both are worth a visit.
Da Nang is a good place to fly into as its close to Hoi Ann if your just doing that area , very touristy at Hoi Ann tho with loads of Chinese and Japanese tourists. Hue is near there but haven't been yet but always fancied it and again the golden bridge is near .
Halong bay is a must do if your in Hanoi and the Chi Chi tunnels and war museum in Sgn .
Nha Trang was a nice place to chill but Ive heard its full of Russians now.
We got the train from Sgn to Nha Trang which was very interesting.
If you have the time try to nip across to Cambodia for a few days as its easy to do. Siem reap for Anghor wat and Phnom penh for the killing fields.
Be careful of the weather it has different seasons between north and south.
Watching people cross the road is fun ,you can tell when somebody has just got there as its impossible to cross without just stepping out into the traffic, the hint on my first trip was just start walking into the road as they will avoid you and dont catch there eye as they will assume you will avoid them ... its worked so far ..
and the scooters are everywhere and i mean everywhere .
Vietnam is more like Thailand was 15-20 years ago.
Booked my trip for November. Can’t wait Holiday discussions always end up going in a lot of directions. Everyone has different preferences depending on what they’re looking for. Some want relaxation, others want activity. It’s interesting seeing how people plan things out. You can pick up ideas without even trying. It’s kind of like browsing Tripadvisor https://tripadvisor.pissedconsumer.com/review.html—you go in with one thought and leave with ten more.

Brilliant place.
I've been in August the humidity was horrible..
Sea is amazing.
Swam with whale sharks off the coast of Cancun amazing.

Booked early doors for our hotel in Rhodes. It's become so popular you've to get in quick. This year there's been a steep rise in the price. I was very surprised when I checked the website over the past week, not only the best rooms were still available but at a far cheaper price. This has not been the trend over the past years It's even more surprising with the oil crisis.

Hate doing package holidays, only do them for expensive trips as if there's a problem with flights your still covered and you don't end up with a hotel paid for that you can't get to.

As it stands I've got a package holiday in about 3 weeks and a cheap lads trip abroad in June which has separate booked elements, £300 each so although not good wouldn't be that bad if it goes tits up.

Very difficult to get excited when 2 holidays have been cancelled but getting ready now . Heard playa del carmen is a nice city aswell .

Budapest for 5 days this Saturday. Hungarian colleague told me I should go about 25 years ago and finally got around to it.
Looks like loads to do and see and weathers looking promising too.
Any recommendations for where to eat would be appreciated, but don’t do fine dining. Local(ish) or independent smaller places preferably.
Did you enjoy it mate

We do a lot of short haul travelling for mini breaks.
For me now its ran its course , its a pain in the arse flying these days, not too bad if youre long haul i guess but being treated like cattle getting through security and eu passport control its a no now for me

Final straw is having a flight cancelled at 11pm last night whilst sat on the plane in italy (off and into a hotel for nigh on 24 hours) , only been away 2 days
