Barbados.

What is so great about Cuba? It seems so poor, I don't think I could enjoy myself knowing so many around me are suffering.

Define poor ,everything is provided by the Government for free , when we was there they had just started to allow people to be able to buy and sell their houses , at our Hotel , Drs and Solicitors worked at weekend to supplement their wage through tips .

Beautiful beeches , crystal clear sea and very warm and friendly staff , who you tip happily.

Our pound is very strong against their peso, 200 cigs £8 , bottle of rum £3.

If you want total relaxation I can't recommend it highly enough.

Watched our home against Arsenal in the bar with 15 Blues .

I realize that the government provides. Maybe instead of poor I should have said that the people there don't enjoy freedoms like we do. Not being able to legally leave your country is really sad.

Things have changed dramatically over the past two years and the Government have introduced some 33 new Laws which include for better freedom and movement and opening your own businness for selling food/drink.
You should look closer to home regarding poor people. ;)

You're not wrong and I do what I can to help the people here when I can.

I have done a few long haul but the monotony of the flight puts me off and I don't think I will do any more now.

Sydney was nice.

Mauritius has it's places but like all of these countries there are some really poor areas.

I wasn't that taken with Singapore due to the horrendous humidity more than anything.

I love the algarve and tend to holiday there now as the short journey suits. I like Playa Blanca in Lanzarote too.

They can leave. The guy that was driving us around in April is moving to the states next year. Maybe one day your government will allow its citizens freedom of travel and you can go there and see for yourself ;)

Obama has removed the embargo, there should be an influx of Americans visiting Cuba in 2016
