was also there in 98, a 16yr old girl with her dad getting abused, surrounded and bricked by the 'classy' stokies. That was after the game when both teams were aware that we were down. Thank god we didn't make it known we were City fans during the game as we were in their end!! Every time we scored a goal you could see pockets of the Stoke end beating the shit out of City fans who had jumped up to celebrate/ City fans legging it across the pitch and diving into the City end! There were thousands of us in there. I've hated the 6 fingered wankers since that day.
The thing about these other teams is they are used to taking the piss out of us (even Stoke!!). Good ole ickle Citeh, always available for a laugh to make themselves feel better. After many, many years of being the laughing stock we are finally able to give a bit back and they can't take it. The bullied kid has grown up and can finally tell the bullies to go fuck themselves. I haven't even been mouthing off that much, just the odd posting on facebook or reply to some stupid/ arrogant comments from other fans but they are not used to it and are therefore disgusted by it. "The money has changed us"...BULLSHIT, the money has given us the chance to claw our way out and enjoy watching our team just as much as we used to enjoy the piss up... "we can't win at home and we can't win away, we lost last week and we lost today. We don't give a fuck cos we're all pissed up, MCFC OK!!!!!!"
