Home Brew

I want to make Cider this year. Anybody ever done this? We have access to a lot of local apples. I went round the old folks row of cottages and told them l, I’m having your apples or the whole row is getting torched.

So, just how to do it would be lovely.
Lol.

I bet they shit it when they see your greasy spam skin face mate; )

I once tried brewing lager in the 80s. Added more sugar and less water for a stronger brew. I ended up making beer bombs as they kept exploding. One of the bottles exploded and a shard of glass cut our kid's eye. My old man wasn't pleased and bollocked me for it. Made me put the rest of the bottles in the garden and i was fuckin' frightened of going near them for fear if getting blown up, lol.

Greasy spam skin? Oh ye of little clue. My face is like the finest, flawless porcelain. Add in my hair, and as you know, it is outrageously resplendent, sitting atop a face that launched one or two dinghy’s and it’s, where’s the burds.

We have talked about this.

Ye old Grolsch bottle gassed every day...in case you revisit ;)

Anyone tried the Pinter 2

I have been interested in the new breed of home brewing gadgets as well as some old school kettle brewing tech.

(My wife is a massive tw@ (in attitude not mass) and makes my life a living nightmare on brew days (she doesn't drink either so gets no benefit) "yer causing a mess", "whys the floor sticky" "look at the state of the hob" and so on and on and on and on...you get the picture.)

Today i found a Pinter 2 on marketplace for 1/2 retail price unused with 2 boxs of extract (20 pints worth) £35.

Whilst the saving or volume from traditional brew your own is not as good the fucking about is minimal and you get 10 pints in 8 days (5 fermenting/3 conditioning)

Home brew - brought back memories of that Home Brew specialist shop in Chorlton back in the 20th century!!
It was located on Manchester Road on the left heading to Whalley Range after Chorlton Library. Parade with the newsagents.
Spent a fair few quid in there - usually made stout, porter and bitter. Once tried barley wine - awful. Wine kits were awful.
I remember that Wilkinson‘s and other retailers used to sell all the kits. Then it all died a death and disappeared.
