Any CCTV has its limits if the toe rags are masked.
I was subject to a break in by 3 scroats last year.
They spent 1/2 a hour going around the garden and house working out an entry and escape plan before breaking in through a guest bedroom.
Fortunately they only went in to a small part of the house before panicking and leaving with nothing.
The police have caught the gang, Latvians who fly over, do high value houses over a few weeks then fly out again. They could not tie them down to my house as none of the recovered items belonged to us.
CCTV, is only part of the deterrent.
I have 13 Hik Vision high quality outdoor cameras 5 indoor, also gate CCTV with intercom, intercom on all the outside cameras, garden sensors, all linked up to iPads phones and Apple watches that go off when the alarm is triggered, perfect clarity night or day, security lights everywhere, smart water on valuable items and photographs of everything of value.
The problem is the system can be triggered by spiders going over sensors or effing cats in the garden.
All can be reviewed remotely.
I also now have fencing covered in anti climb paint, bollards on the drive gates etc.
They will always go for the weakest point to get in which in my case was wooden windows.
I have had all windows, doors, conservatory glass etc replaced at great cost plus lots of other security measures.
The one thing I would like to have is a military grade drone where I could store on the roof and launch if I am within 30 miles of the house and follow the scroats.
Someone mentioned a dog, which is great, but it fucks up your other measures and the weakness is if you’re out walking it.
My main point is if they are determined to get in they will do but if its a load of hassle they are likely to move on to one of your neighbours.
