Home Fans Leaving Early

Not having a go at any one BUT
Sorry but I really don't understand why people leave early, maybe on a night game if you have kids in tow, but on a Saturday with a 1245am kickoff.
I know you pay your money and its your choice but it looks awful. Do the same people leave the cinema early or a show/concert??
I am sure that some of them have a good reason but not all.
We may sing that we fight to the end but we don't stay to the end!!!!!!
Lights the blue touch paper and stands back.
Oh good, this thread is totally original.

Never done it myself but the traffic is a bloody nightmare

Suppose we gotta be grateful we don't have the same situation as Sale Sharks /Salford City egg chasers .... Now that is bloody nightmare ........ Apparently it takes 3 hours just to get out of the car park.

We do stay to the end but I am very tempted to go early because of the car parks. We live about 45 miles away and we don't get out of the car park till about an hour after the final whistle. We need to allow well over 2 hours to get there in the first place. If they expand the capacity to 60,000 or 70,000 I hope they include a hotel in the development cos we will need to stay the night!

I pay for two season tickets every year in 117, one for me, one for my son, but they're not together. So he stands with me and there's an empty space where he should be. So don't assume some of these "empties" mean the owner ain't there... singing his fucking head off until he has to leave for work... sometimes early!

Doesnt take that long but its still a pain in the arse.

Can't really think of many other grounds that empty as quickly and as early as ours.

One that sticks in the memory the most was Aguero's second goal against Swansea. The ground was less than half full when it went in!

Is it really the concern or business of anyone else as to why people choose to leave early? If they've got to get off then that's it.

People can leave whenever they want, but I wonder what the players think about it,especially when we're chasing a goal, and they see people pouring out of the stadium?

Don't leave early but can see why some do. Car parks and surrounding roads were mental yesterday, match finished just after 2.30, and I got back to Swinton at 4pm.

I also live in Swinton and can't see why anybody would want to rush back here.

Good point, well made.

If it was anything like weds night getting out of the car park i'm not surprised people leave early. There's a lot of blues that are coming along way to see the match and adding up to an hour onto an already long journey can be a right pain in the arse. Its not like the london boys that can just walk out and get onto a tube and get out quickly. Until they finish the tram lines to give a better option of getting to and from the ground you will always have early leavers. I must admit though it doesn't look good especially with all the money we've spent on our star studded team.
