They were a great part of my youth, still remember jumping around the Bob Bank at Ninian Park when Trevor Francis scored the winner against Wales in 1982, quite surprised i got out alive.

yeh remember when the sweaty socks pulled the goal posts down and when we bashed them 5-1, who was in goal for scotland that day?

England
France
Italy
& a barbarian team of players from the Prem

Can we leave the rags out of it please?

The big problem with reviving it is where do you find another 3 spare dates in an already crowded fixture calendar? Can you imagine clubs releasing their players for what is essentially a friendly contest.

it was windsor park belfast.the republic never played in them.n.ireland still the holders

4 more league games then but there weren't so many European fixtures as they were straight knockout competitions and also fewer qualifying internationals as there weren't as many countries.

Stewart Kennedy,Bell scored the third i think

Home Internationals were used to try out players, and also blood them, I feel sure that Hart would have benefited from playing competitive matches.

Certainly,Green and Carson would certainly have benefited. Clemence made a high profile howler
in them.

Bring in the French and the Irish. One touring team and a Prem Barbarians. 2 groups of 4 you got a tournament.

Anyway as future participation in major tournaments in future is unlikely, for all the Home Nations
we may welcome it lol

won,t make any difference, when the hooha has died down the same team will be picked, it is a closed shop even now?

I went to wrexham in 1980 ( i think) . Eng lost 4 -1 .

Was only 14 but never seen so much fighting at a game. First Eng v Welsh and then eng v eng.
